Today, I got to 71 Ranch. It has an awesome climbing tree. I mean really good!
It also has a swinging rope. I battled it! For dinner, I had left over steak and mashed potatoes. The next day, we went horseback riding for two hours to check the cow's water supply. That night I went to a big party with food and music. Then, next day we went horseback riding all day in the Ruby Mountains. They're gorgeous, with wild flowers and a beautiful pond. I rode a horse named Amigo.
Now I will review Paint the Wind by Pam Munoz Ryan. This book is about a girl who must find the secrets of the past. Can she change from an elegant house girl to a rugged horse rider? And can this book be any girlier?
I think the main idea is that change is important. I think that because at first she was sad, but when her grandmother died and she went to her uncle's home, she was happy.

Now, I will review The Willoughbys by Lois Lowry. This book is about parents that want to get rid of their kids, and they want to get rid of their villainous and odious parents! I recommend the book for people who want to get a good laugh and learn new vocabulary!

Now I will review Freaky Stuff by Richard Tulloch. Freaky Stuff is about a kid who has to teach his younger brother that fighting is wrong! Can he get his brother to learn the lesson before it's too late? I recommend this book to everyone!

Today I went to the Channel Islands National Park. I saw seals. They were cool!

Today I went on the Alien Highway. It was cool, but the only U.F.O that I saw was Kayla.

Today I went to the Hoover Dam. Kayla liked it, but I didn't really care for it. I noticed one thing. It was big, as big as KING KONG!
On the way, they were also building a bridge bypass. It has cable to help support it. It was a C Class arch bridge.
Inside we watched a video that was propaganda.

Today, I went to a roller coaster. It was fun, but also super scary. It went high, very slow but the rest was not mellow. There was a barrel roll that did not have centrifugal force.
I also rated a dumb TV show.
I also saw a lion habitat. It was sad.
The roller coaster is in a hotel called New York, New York.
We're in Las Vegas!
Now I will review a book called Weird Stuff by Richard Tulloch.
Weird Stuff is about a boy who finds a pink pen that writes beautiful mushy mushy love stories, but nothing else.
He's about to throw it away when he finds the girl of his dreams. What will happen when he loses his pen?
This fantasy, mystery, funny, romance is great. I recommend it for everyone!

Today I went to a festival called Pageant of the Masters (PM) in California. PM is where people make a 3D version of pictures. In other words they make a set and put real people in it. It was OK at first, but at the second half I fell asleep!
One was of a statue of a dragonfly person, from a brooch by Renee Lalique. It was big and green! It was outside, but I was freezing!

Now I will review the book Chupacabra and the Roswell U.F.O. by Rudolfo Anaya.
It's about a government conspiracy C.Force. C. Force first cloned chupacabras and now aliens. What are they planning next! It is funny, with a lot of action. I recommend it.

Today I went to Vans Skate Park in Orange, California. It was fun. I also saw Transformers, the movie. It was good!
I read a book called A Week In The Woods by Andrew Clements. It's good! It's about a kid who is rich and gets a crazy teacher. He goes out for a week in the woods. The story is funny.

Today I went to Lego Land. It was really cool! They made the whole world out of Legos.
It was awesome! I went on a few rides. There was one where you fly around on an arm! I saw fireworks. They were colorful.

Today I went to a movie set Ruby and the Rockits. At first, it was good, but then I got tired. The comedian did a score thing, and I was the team leader.
Today , I went to Phillippe's, a sandwich place in Los Angeles. It was good.
I also went to the La Brea Tar Pits.
I saw some ice age mammals: saber toothed tigers and a mammoth that fell and got stuck in the tar!

Today, I went with Di and Mom to Mission San Juan Capistrano. I prayed and lit a candle.
Last summer, I saw the glaciers at Glacier National Park, but scientists predict that they will be melted by 2030.

Today, we got to Glacier National Park. It is beautiful. On the first day, we went on a very pretty walk in the rainforest on the Trail of the Cedars.
On the next day, we went on the Mary Falls Trail. On the way, we picked raspberries! Driving home, we saw a Bighorn Sheep by the side of the road.
The next day, I went on a death march at Logan's Pass! I saw a ground squirrel, 2 marmots, and a mommy and baby mountain goats. The view was pretty (top photo.)

Today we went to the west side of the park. When we got there, we went on a boat trip to an island. There, we went on a hike through raspberries.
Then we went on another boat to the other side where we took a 2 mile hike. If you want any details, read Kayla's blog.

I listened to a book called Bearstone by Will Hobbs. It was OK, I guess....
It's about a boy who stays with an old man and finds a carved stone in the shape of a bear in a Native American cliff tomb! I think the main intent is that revenge is bad. I think that because when he cut down the old man's plum trees, he got to go home. Plus, he said so.
I don't really recommend this book. It put me to sleep.
