2009 Resolutions

crazy_face These are my New Year’s Resolutions for 2009:

  1. I am going to hang out with my friends more. I’m going to ask my Mom to call my friend and schedule appointments, at least once a week.
  2. I’m going to be more like Calvin, by reading more Calvin & Hobbes, and doing what he does.  I admire Calvin because he is really funny!
  3. I am going to be less responsible, doing less chores, so I have more time to do more important stuff, like playing outside.

Oh, by the way, I need to go out and build a snowman now, it’s life or death!

Whingle Advertisement

Have you seen the commercial for Snuggies?  They added sleeves to a blanket, and presto, it sells.

I’m introducing Whingles.

Tired of balls stuck in trees?  Tired of throwing rocks at the balls stuck in trees?

Whingles is your solution.

With this special offer of one Whingle and side-by-side instructions of how to use it, you won’t be going back to the store to get more balls.

Plus, all your neighborhood friends will be jealous.

My Whingle is a newly designed model.  It uses soft breezes under its wings to glide up and knock a ball out of a tree.  Plus, if you sharpen it, you can use it to write words.

This special offer is not available in stores; however, you can order it directly from the manufacturer at the low price of $3.00, plus shipping and handling.

If you would like to get a Whingle, please post a comment to make your request.

All About Praying Mantises

mantis There are many different kinds of Praying Mantises.  Some are big, some are small.  They live everywhere, but mostly in tropical areas.  They eat bugs that are harmful to gardens.  A Praying Mantis has spiny front legs that he uses to grasp and hold his prey.  Praying Mantises are my favorite type of bug.

Here are some You Tube Videos about Praying Mantises:

Nature's Perfect Predator: Praying Mantis - Absolutely terrifying to watch, this Animal Planet video does a great job of describing howinsects these bugs survive as a predator.

Sick Praying Mantis - He's so cute!

Praying Mantis Artz - This video shows you how to draw a Praying Mantis, but I used the instructions in How to Draw Insects by Barbara Soloff Levy.
